About this engine

The Mk5 GTI engine, and still the one tuners reach for. The BPY is the EA113 2.0 TFSI: cast-iron block, direct injection and a K03 turbo, making 200 hp as standard and famously willing to take considerably more on the standard internals with nothing but software and a bigger turbo. Peak torque of 207 lb-ft arrives at 1,800 rpm and holds to 5,000. The unit photographed is marked BPY and comes with the manifold and ancillaries as removed. The cam follower for the high-pressure fuel pump is the one item to check on this engine; we inspect it on request before shipping. Sold as a used import, exactly as it came out of the donor vehicle and as photographed. The engine code above is the one marked on this unit; we confirm it against the stamped engine number before dispatch. Compression and leak-down testing is available on request before you commit, and every unit carries a 3-month warranty against internal mechanical failure.
