Toyota 7A-FE 1.8 16-Valve EFI Engine

About this engine

The long-stroke 1.8 of Toyota's A family, and the last of the cast-iron-block four-cylinders before the all-alloy ZZ replaced it. A 7A-FE will not excite anybody, which is precisely the point: iron block, alloy 16-valve head, multipoint EFI and a reputation for running to enormous mileages on indifferent maintenance. Our units are marked "7A" on the cam cover by the yard, and the "16 VALVE EFI" casting is visible in the photographs. They come complete with the inlet plenum, throttle body and distributor-era ancillaries as removed. Sold as a used import, exactly as it came out of the donor vehicle and as photographed. The engine code above is the one marked on this unit; we confirm it against the stamped engine number before dispatch. Compression and leak-down testing is available on request before you commit, and every unit carries a 3-month warranty against internal mechanical failure.
