About this engine

A fully mechanical Toyota diesel: indirect injection, an inline pump, no ECU and no sensors to argue with. The 2L-II is the improved version of the 2L, and it is the engine under a great many Hilux, Hiace and Land Cruiser Prado bonnets still working for a living. The factory "OHC 2L-II" sticker is still on the cam cover of the unit photographed, which is how this one was identified. It comes complete with the injection pump, viscous fan and flywheel as removed. Sold as a used import, exactly as it came out of the donor vehicle and as photographed. The engine code above is the one marked on this unit; we confirm it against the stamped engine number before dispatch. Compression and leak-down testing is available on request before you commit, and every unit carries a 3-month warranty against internal mechanical failure.
