About this engine

Hyundai's Beta II 1.8: cast-iron block, alloy twin-cam 16-valve head, 130 hp, and about as much complexity as a hammer. It is the engine in the Elantra XD 1.8 and the 1.8 Tiburon, and a straightforward replacement when the original has worn out. The unit photographed still wears its "DOHC 16V" cam cover and a Hyundai Genuine Parts band, and is marked G4GB by the yard. Complete with manifold and ancillaries as removed. Sold as a used import, exactly as it came out of the donor vehicle and as photographed. The engine code above is the one marked on this unit; we confirm it against the stamped engine number before dispatch. Compression and leak-down testing is available on request before you commit, and every unit carries a 3-month warranty against internal mechanical failure.
